Project Overview

ConneX Electrical was appointed to deliver a full electrical solution for a purpose-built automated cleanroom at the Again recycling plant — a facility leading the way in sustainable bottle and glassware reuse. This installation played a key role in supporting their closed-loop, environmentally conscious operations.

Working in close collaboration with Again’s in-house automation team, we executed the full electrical package for this cleanroom and surrounding production units.

Our Deliverables

• Cleanroom electrical containment – precision conduit and basket & tray work for hygienecompliant routing
• First and second fix wiring throughout the cleanroom
• Full power and lighting system installation in all operational units
• Installation of large submains to serve high-power equipment
• Integration of local power outlets for modular and mobile machinery
• Tight collaboration with automation engineers for seamless system integration

Collaboration & Challenges

One of the project’s core challenges was the absence of detailed electrical drawings on-site. This required ConneX to:

• Work dynamically, adapting to design changes in real time
• Engage daily with Again’s engineering and automation teams
• Deliver solutions proactively while maintaining cleanroom standards
• Ensure system reliability for high-spec automated operations

Our ability to interpret intent, improvise clean layouts, and communicate clearly meant we maintained excellent progress and avoided costly delays.

Outcome

The project was delivered on time with zero electrical snags, enabling Again to launch their cleanroom operations without downtime. The final space supports:

• Automated sorting and cleaning of reusable bottles
• Energy-efficient lighting across all workspaces
• Robust local power supply to critical systems
